(More customer reviews)Ah, the timeless and enduring Zebco 202, the ownership of which is as essential a rite of passage for American youth as sex, drugs, and rock and roll.Nearly 40 years ago, at the tender age of seven, the mighty 202 was my first fishing reel and worked like a dream in terms of use and maintenance for a kid for whom mechanical aptitude and patience were in very short supply.Its simple push-button casting is easy for kids to master and it's robust enough for them to haul in small panfish, perch, catfish, and bass hand over fist.Setting the drag and changing line is also a breeze.Believe it or not, I still have mine and it works perfectly, which bodes well for my son who is just now showing an interest in angling.Now if someone could just invent something which guarantees a fish with every cast...
