(More customer reviews)I have several Zebco reels, but this one failed the first time my son used it. The gears would strip and line would spool off without depressing the button, he noticed it rattled. After several attempts I was able to remove the back cover and found that the "horseshoe" retaining clip that retains the crank handle, bearings and gear had fallen out into the case and was causing all the problems. After reinserting the clip it appears to work fine.
