(More customer reviews)I had done my research and decided on purchasing a Pflueger reel. Pflueger doesn't have a vendor in my area so I ordered it through Amazon.I had ordered this reel specifically for a planned fishing trip, however it didn't arrive in time for the trip.
When the reel did arrive it looked as if it had already been through a few good seasons of fishing.The finish was scratched in several places as if it might have been a refurbished product, even though I specifically ordered "new".
I returned the reel for a replacement Pflueger and when the replacement reel arrived it too appeared to have been previously used.At this point I really needed a new reel for an upcoming offshore trip, so I kept it, but this will be the last time that I order a reel through Amazon.

Pflueger Medalist Spinning Reel has 9 stainless steel ball bearings with pinion and main gear bearings fully sealed, 5.2:1 ratio and 10 lb max drag. It has a one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing anda smooth sealed carbon fiber drag system. It also has a rugged aluminum body and rotor with an anti-twist titanium line roller.
