(More customer reviews)A great rod for trout, even the larger ones. Fishing with 3 lb test green Maxima line on Stradic 2500fh reel, it turns the fish quickly. I prefer them to the Daiwa graphite rods I've had.

(More customer reviews)This is the best Zebco I have ever owned. The five bearings make it super smooth and quiet and the drag is very effective. I can cast 30% futher with this than my other non bearing Zebcos. It is such a pleasure to land fish and not even be aware that the reel is turning due to it's smooth and quiet performance, the rod is well matched. Zebco always has backed up their products.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this spincast combo for my husband to use for a couple of times. The second time he used it, the line failed to reel in and he lost fish. It worked at times, other times it would not reel in. I would not purchase one of these combos again.

(More customer reviews)Looks great and works great. Rod has 5 SS guides (no inserts) cork twist lock reel seat, hook holder, ML action. Reel 4 ballbearings, quickfire, large line guide, front drag, smooth action, perfect match for the rod. Some Combos skimp on the rod or reel not this one, first rate all the way. I have 4 other 6' rods; I like this one the most. Buy a second and take a friend fishing.

(More customer reviews)For the price, this is an excellent spinning combo.I like the 2 peice rod, but the Shakespeare Reel was a bit cheesy.The reason being is that you can only reel left handed.It isn't built to be interchangeable for left or right handed usage.I'll use the reel as a spare in case one of my other reels die on me.I bought a better Shakespeare Reel to replace this one.Trolled with the outfit last Saturday running a heavy willow leaf set up at Edison Lake, Ca. and it worked like a champ!

(More customer reviews)This is a great rod for boat fishing in salt water. Not too long and give exceptional leaverage when fighting large fish. I hooked a 90lb bull shark and had no problems fighting it with this rod.
