(More customer reviews)I got this reel because its made in america and i feels like it, machine work is nice, smooth action, bail and drag are excellent. It is a little heavy but not by much compared to other reels of the same price I assume the extra weight comes from a thicker casting of its main body...put this real to work at fort peck MT last week and it handled well. I paired this reel with a american made St Croix premier 6ft 6" rod and lost my mind with how well they paired. This reel can cast with the best of them and trust me I have 300$ china reals that dont cast as nice, pitching jigs and spoons landed me over 50 fish that week along with a few that would have stripped thouse cheap chine train recks...dont be afraid to spend an extra $30 clams for this reel you get a great warranty a well built reel and you feel good that your fishing american water with american gear.
