(More customer reviews)I bought this reels after trying the 33 platinum. While the 33Platinum is great and well ahead of the standard 33, this little reel didn't seem to be that much better than the regular version. I think the problem is that the spool diameter is so small that the problems this causes make it a bit of a line twister no matter how many bearings it has. I like the 11 and use it for panfish but make sure that you carry a supply of line so that when it gets too twisted to work well, you can just rip it off and reline the reel.The platinum doesn't effect this problem so I would prefer having two or three of the regular reels than spending the extra money on the higher grade reel.

I fish a lake heavy with cyprus trees with fish that are partial to light lures (trick worms). trying to use my baitcaster in tight tree cover and light presentations was just to cumbersom(and full of rat nests). This reel has been great!! my only complaint is the tic-tic-tic sound of reeling in. I guess im just use to the silence of baitcasters and open reels. There is a switch that turns it off (the small one just above the crank with the silver screw in the picture) but beware when a bass strikes, if you let go of the crank, the line goes right back out without drag and the lunker is gone!

(More customer reviews)Purchase two of these items for ultra lite spin casting usage. Very light weight when balanced with a 5'6" graphite rod. The trigger feature is wonderful for placing lite line lures into a stream under windy conditions. The second one will be installed on a longer rod and "watch out trout" here we come!
Excellent pricing! A value I believe. I would recommend it highly.

The item is ok, however not that much different in design compared Shakesphere model also manufactured in China for Pure Fishing Inc. Cannot find the 50% price differential between products after a feature comparison. I own both reels. Link to compare> Shakespeare Synergy Steel Underspin Reel
Pflueger expected quality does not show in this model. Shame on you Pure Fishing for importing this product.
As a user of Pflueger products for over fifty years I would expect more quality differences in the Pflueger model for the additional cost involved!
