(More customer reviews)I have used spin cast reels for about 50 years and all have bee used in fresh and salt water.All the ones I have, Johnson and Daiwa, are fine reels and still work well since I rinse them well in fresh water after salt use.When I saw the 700i was rated for salt I could not get one quick enough.I have used it a few times and what a reel!I refilled it with Fireline 14 pound line when I first got it and it cast further than imaginable with a Carolina rig and a 1/2 oz. weight.It always works flawlessly and has the most accurate and smooth drag possible.For just plain ole fun and efficient fishing this reel is simply unbeatable.Heck, I bought a 1276SLi for backup and now I can't figure out which to use.I have to do something I never do, I have to thank Abu Garcia for building these reels.
By the way, Amazon, you really should show the 700i in your add for same.
