(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these before taking my dad to Canada for smallmouth.They are VERY well made and worth every penny.If you are using a larger spinning reel i'd go up to the medium size, but the small orange one works great for light/medium action spinning reels with an extra spool.We packed this in our carry on luggage in case our gear was lost and wish we had a couple more.GREAT PRODUCT!!

(More customer reviews)I got this as a scratch and dent item for 50 bucks.one of the star points on the drag wheel was broken.Its o.k. I was wanting a baitcaster (cheap) to see if I would like one being as I never used one before.I still get the occasional birdsnest.The reel feels good but I'm still deciding if I like the matching rod.I'm leaning toward not as sensitive a rod as I would like but its not heavy and I can literally fish for hours with it and not get fatigued. I have caught a couple nice sized Florida bass with it.

(More customer reviews)These only cost $8, and they show it.While they do work and my friends have used them numerous times in both salt and fresh water, these are cheap plastic parts bolted together.I am an avid fisherman, so these would drive me nuts if I had to use them, (I use an Okuma Avenger A55V), but I only bought these so my friends can fish with me, since most of my friends could care less about fishing/gear.
I don't think I would buy these again.I would be surprised if they lasted 6 months.Spend the extra money and get a $40 reel that will last you years.
