(More customer reviews)Just looking at the picture that is available, I wasn't sure what quality to expect from this thing considering it is one of the cheapest rod/reel cases I have found. Well I just got it and it is exactly what I needed, and better than expected. The material on the outside looks and feels good. The rod area is solid and will fully protect rod, the reel area is not a hard cover, but has GREAT padding. I'm pretty sure I could drop this thing off my house and not worry about rod/reel. IMO highly recommend, great price and I don't know how much more you could get out of another case.

(More customer reviews)I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and functionality of the Gear Guide rod/reel carrier (I wouldn't call it a case, as it is really a well designed 'bag').
Prior to having this carrier, my 3 rods were moving around in my trunk and prone to damage/scratches or getting tangled up. Now, my three favorite rods are well protected and always ready. Even though rods up to 8 feet fit inside this carrier, I tend take them apart (2 pieces) to minimize the space/length inside my car. The three rods and reels are separated bynice sheep skin that provides excellent protection for each.
I've used the bag for about one month on about a dozen fishing trips. Taking three rods/reels from the car to the fishing spot and getting them ready to fish has been so much easier and comfortable. No more compromise which of the three to bring... just take all three without a problem. At the fishing spot, prepare each rod/reel with ease and/or change rods without having them laying around (to be stepped on). The 'shell' of the carrier seems to be water resistant and doesn't pick-up a lot of dirt (nice smooth fabric). A simple wipe down with cloth easily removes the dust, etc.before putting it back into your trunk.
I've just placed another order for a second 3 rod carrying bag (before the supply of this great deal/steal dries up...). With a second 3-rod/reel carrier from Gear Guide, I can take both my rods and the ones for my kids while still having hands free to carry their other stuff or simply hold their hand.
If you care about your gear, buy these bags and probably enjoy them for many years.

(More customer reviews)This case can fit two light action rod and reel combos adequately.However, they have to be pretty small for both of them to fit.If one of your rods has large eyes or a reel bigger than a 2000 series, you'll likely be out of luck.The length and quality is quite good, but the tube is really narrow.
If you like to travel with more than one rod, you might consider getting two of these to use to transport them individually.
