(More customer reviews)I had always wanted a Redington rod and this fits the bill.A very nicely made rod and matching reel, at an affordable price.I fly fish sporadically during the year, and my casting abilities do not lend themselves to a $500 rod.Nice balance; and casts incredible easy.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this item and the service was great.The only problem is that what they show and tell about is different than what they are selling.Check the product discription, which they tell you to do.They show and tell about a Fly Reel but the product discription says it is a spare spool and that is what it is.I would order from them again, but only after double checking the product description.I feel that they sort of false advertise their products.They did accept the return and credited my account right away.Though I'm out the $5.95 shipping and another $2 something for return shipping.

(More customer reviews)After borrowing from friends I decided to buy my own rod.I didn't want to put a ton of money into it, but wanted soemthing that I could use to build my skills.This rod fits that need well.It arrived in great condition and almost ready to go.The reel is wound with backing, fly line, and leader.You will need tippet and flies.On my first day out with it I got a small brown trout on the line.I gave it four stars because I'm sure there are better set-ups available, but I doubt they are anywhere close to this price.

(More customer reviews)Did a good bit of internet research before ordering this rod, I like to know kinda what I am getting.Okuma Infusion combo kept showing up as a good buy for beginner and seasoned flyrodders alike.I am a first time flyer. First time out I put the fly up in tree and broke it off, not starting out very well.Next I put on a fly and hung it up and broke it off in the river, things are not looking up.I really enjoy the outside, so I forged on and was determined to keep fishing.I rigged up sort of a hybridized fly and then it was ON!I caught a fish, it was fun.I kept fishing and ended up catching 8 keeper trout for the day.One of the 8 was a real good fish according to my fishing buddy. A great introduction to fly fishing!Okuma has figured out the rod, reel, line, backing and leaders for you. Get one and have some fun.

(More customer reviews)This combo fly and spinning rod and reel is a great value for the money.The convenient container makes it easy to store the rod sections and two reels in one easily accessible location.The fly rod is too short and the spinning rod is too flexible (same rod), but when one considers that the same rod can be used for both applications, this is a fantastic deal.The fly reel is small, but easily holds a regular fly line (not included but easily purchased), and the spinning reel has a smooth retrieve and holds plenty of line (also not included) if you are using light test (4 to 6 pound test) line.
