(More customer reviews)The Johnson Country Mile is the worst reel I have ever dealt with.It hung up right after taking it from the box so I pulled on the line a bit and it has never been able to reel the line in ever since.I called johnson and they wanted to SELL ME PARTS FOR IT !!!!!!!!!!Needless to say this reel is now in the garbage and I will stick with Zebco for closed face reels from now on. I would rate this 1/2 a star if i could only because i recieved it quickly.Buyers beware.

(More customer reviews)This is the second Revo that I've purchased.I liked the first one so much that I bought a second to replace a perfectly good reel on another outfit that I use a lot for inshore fishing.The Revo casts great and the drag--this little reel could stop a truck.I'm a recent convert to using a left hand baitcasting reel.A friend has been using one for years, and now that I've tried it, I've found it a great labor saver fishing inshore - especially the Calico Bass.

(More customer reviews)I bought this reel last fall for $100 (the 2500 model) and I have to say, it was money well-spent. The reel is really smooth on retrieves and feels like it should cost more than it does. I paired it up with a Shimano Crucial 6'8" Drop shot rod and use it for drop shotting, and some times for senkos and jigs too. I gotta say, they work great together. The only con I have is that this reel doesn't come with an extra spool. Which I would find helpful when switching from fishing drop shots to senkos/jigs and vice versa.

(More customer reviews)Wish I could give a better review, because the reel looks like a bulldog next to all the other standard coffee grinders in the display case. I purchased the Trio 20 from Sport Chalet and had it strung up with a $20 spool of flouro. Playing with it when I got home, I tested the drag and sure enough it was gummed up, sticky, and far from smooth. Took it back the Chalet, and I had the fishing 'expert' check it out as well, and we both agreed that I'd lose fish with the drag system the way it was out of the box. I tried the same spool on another reel at the store, and the same problem persisted. Don't know if I bought a lemon, but I didn't even get it close to the water before returning it. I'd like to hope it was a dud, but buyer beware. I'd definitely check it out at a store before committing to it online. Happy fishing.
